nope. completely disagree. how many people in the hood am i supposed to help? snoop is rich. but he doesnt have endless funds. on top of that HE WORKED FOR IT. them other dudes standing on the block until their 50... i mean at what point do they say ***hits chest a few times...*** It's on me...It's on me.

stop acting like snoop is some white boy from the burbs that drove thru the hood one day asked to shoot a video in 20's hood, then made up his entire persona off of that video.

Was snoop a real hood nucca?YEP

This automatically gives him stripes to talk about whatever hood ish he chooses.

Was snoop an actual Long Beach CRIP?
YEP.

This automatically gives him the strips to talk about anything LBC and Cripping he so well chooses.

like snoop said. If there was no snoop. There would be no LBC to the world. No one outside of long beach cared about long beach until snoop said "LONNNNNNNG BEEEEEEACH"

i dont think you get it.

Everyone would claim L.A. or Compton. Dudes from the IE was claiming L.A. or Compton. Dudes from West Covina was claiming L.A. or Compton.

you probably had clowns in bakersfield going hard, claiming L.A. or Compton.

Mac 10 claimed Inglewood. he put the WOOOOD on the map. does he owe ING Family anything? NOPE.

No one was claiming long beach. snoop aint the first rapper to spit from the beach. he's the first one to CLAIM IT loud and proud. he could've easily said COMPTON and kept it moving. he was with dre and people think EastSide... CPT LBC thats not that far right? Sure it is. but no one that doesnt know any better even cares.

and listen i wont even go in on the old hood dudes. you know why. because i actually know why they believe snoop or anyone else owes them something. if it wasnt for that racism white supremacy holding their ancestors down, holding their parents down, they would've never been on the block banging to begin with. which means they probably wouldnt care about a hand out like that anyway. they would professionals making a good living for themselves and their families without doing it illegally to boot. So yeah, i know that racism has brainwashed them and me too in to believing everyone owes you something. even your own brotha. because what you really want to say you cant say which is white folks owe us. not snoop. no Daz. not any other old hood rapper.

I'm not saying that this is the way it should be, or even that I agree with it. Simply that this is the way it is.
And also, that if Snoop grew up in it like he is alleged to... then he knows thats the way it is as well.

Gangbanging is not fair, but it is surprising organized and structured in terms of knowing what you can and cannot should and should not do.

Now, once fame and power allow you to believe exceptions should be made for you... these situations may arise as in Snoop's case. But the problem is not that he hasn't done enough for the hood, its that he is still claiming the hood. As long as he claims it they will expect him to pay as they see him claiming it as a part of his success.

He voiced his opinion recently. I saw it on worldstar.
But its not a matter of him being right or not.
He is trying to combat hood rules with logic, fairness, and other types of politics that are simply out of place in a seniority based structure like a gang.

Thats my take.

Also, as a side note... regarding Mac10. I am 5 mins from Inglewood, walking. I know cats from Inglewood Fam that have said they would tax him if they saw him. So its not so much that he owes them, as it is that they feel he owes them. And you can't really argue with a persons feelings cause its not really based on numbers and reasoning.

This is the song where Snoop is claiming Insane.

He ain't claim insane. Snoop always gave a shout out to the insane; in snoop song 21 jumpstreet with tray dee; snoop said I'm rollin with the steelers and killing with the raiders. Snoop helped out battlecat and bad azz and there both from insane; I ran into og's at this party and they both were brothers and one was from 20's another was from insane. The brother from insane broke the e/s shyt down to me.

20's and insane were not always at war they were cool in the 80's and early 90 shyt hit the fan; that's why snoop made 21 jumpstreet with tray to bring the whole e/s together. That 213 tape you posted is from the 90's back when the lb area code was 213, snoop always tried to bring the steelers and raiders together

fukk yall yappin about ? Mac 10 was from Queen Street , not IF .
Didnt say he was. I was responding to dude who specifically mentioned him.

When I was younger we would have roasting sessions, and this was around the time Mac 10 had wore those barrets in his hair, so when the homies from IF started getting on me I was like "nikka, where your barrets?" :mjlol:and thats how the convo came up with them being like :camby: on Mac 10. But IDK if they were serious, and I don't know where he is actually from.
I didn't even know Snoop was from 20s. :dame:

The Insanes and 20s have been in beef since the 80s,it's just that it as off and on. Snoops family is from Insane that's why he started out claiming it ,there is no way Snoop was 20 and didn't give one shot out to them on the tape.Snoop was put on the 20s as studio gangsta even Tray Dee said he wanted to be Insane but they too rough on each other.

I wonder if country music artists go thru this shyt.

"I tell ya what. Kenneh Chestneh cant come 'round yander anymore. He's gonna have to buy some john deere tractors for these farmers out in the field. He's gonna have to help harvest these crops or somethin if he got plans of frolickin' thru this jurisdiction, dag gummit"

:ohhh:

If you got money, you shouldn't be roaming around in them hoods period. We seen what happened to C when he didn't move out of them projects. Got himself a life sentence. If you want to sprinkle some money around there and help out, cool, but to be trying to play hero of the hood, Mr. "I keep it real" when you're 40+ with a family is nonsense.

I suspect one of the reasons Fat Joe moved out to Miami was in realizing that he would keep on dealing with people that were envious of the money he was making and there's no reason sticking around somewhere where you'll always have people who are envious and want to get a piece of that pie if they can.
