Californ-i-a by way of BK
This here.

I got a chance to hear those Grease tracks, a couple years ago. And that's the X album the people deserve now.
Facts! Unless it’s Dame Grease stuff he worked with X or DJ Superior putting out rare/unreleased joints, I don’t care.

brehs before me said it it better be some Dame Grease shyt

either way I'm in on strength of my stannery alone :feedme: X season is back

I’ll be good with a few vault songs from each era he was in. I just want more of his music to enjoy. I like the new direction even if it’s drum less or just quotes.

The response (or lack thereof) to the Exodus album:

The public: “OMG!! X is gone!! What a legend. He’s so missed. :mjcry::sadcam::to:

The label; “Yall miss him that much? Here’s an album of all new music.”

The public: “:whoa:We’re good.”

…same thing with Quan recently. People come down off the shock & awe factor of the person’s passing and the renewed interest in their art dissipates FAST. It’s as if folks are like “We care but we don’t care THAT much.”

People are tainted with how Posthumous projects have been handled. A lot of the time it's botched production and collabs that said artist wouldn't ever do in their lifetime. Also they never LEAVE THE OG tracks alone, they always strip the original production into some bs like most of Pac's music and that awful Eminem produced album. People want the producer that they had the most chemistry with to take care of the posthumous projects. That's why the final Gangstarr posthumous album worked out, cuz it was ALL PREMIER that got the vocals from solar and made a GREAT project out of it. It sounded organic and genuine! If the artist has a vault full of unreleased joints that haven't been touched, release them as they are. The audience will appreciate it.

There's still tracks of Exodus I fukk with, that shyt was dope and one of the best X projects in years. People just look for a reason to hate on shyt and like you said alot of people on some fake love shyt was quick to pass over it.

I would love to hear the Dame Grease joints too, but that Exodus project was dope to me.
