Doggystyle featuring legends The Dramatics
Missionary featuring legends Sting and Tom Petty
If more people still BOUGHT music rather than streaming and each giving the artists 0.00001c then artists would have the features you would expect. But instead labels will absolutely have say in adding artists that can bring in streams from non-fans. This isn't a label issue, it's a FAN ISSUE. Streaming is a blight on the music industry, a response to Napster etc which backfired and made the industry worse.
Even if they sold an album for $1 each person who bought it would contribute so much more revenue than streaming it until they died would. But nah, give all your money to Spotify, Apple etc people. Let them eat while artists quickly lose motivation to release and instead just charge ridiculous prices for tour tickets and merch at gigs to try make it all worth it.
