Everybody isn't Eddie Murphy or Will Ferrell.
And if you look at Tina Fey, Poeler,Meyers, Armisen, Fallon,etc they've all remained under Lorne Michael's thumb even after they left SNL with shows/films, etc..
Hader has Barry.
Wiig has done some things (Bridesmaids, WW84,etc.).
Most who leave that show are out of the spotlight.
Kenan is smart. He knows where the money is, and has kept himself useful/viable for the show after all these years. He loves what he is doing. Most people on that show hate it or are trying to parlay it into something else. And it shows in their performance. Not Keenan. He plays his part and gets his bread.
