I personally don't think he wanted Pickett, I think he wanted Malik Willis (not saying that he would have been any better) and the front office pulled rank and said "look Mike, we gotta draft Kenny because of the Marino mis draft". He accepted it and when they went into the offseason he stood his ground and told them "respectfully I went with your plan and we failed, can I get my choice this year". Front office wasn't drafting a QB and it's a no losing situation honestly and he chose the best of what he had to pick from IMO. Seriously out of everyone who was available in the offseason, who would have given this team a better opportunity at winning?He tried that with Pickett, the issue is that you're not gonna get the opportunity to do it with a blue chip prospect when you're never under .500
