Maybe I got the details in this saga twisted, but I thought they exchanged addresses and/or location info. And I never thought Smoke went out their on a whim, I thought he was already in Cali and decided to kill two birds with one stone.
You're right that somebody just hopping on a flight out the blue to meet somebody who might not even exist sounds silly, but I was under the impression that's not how this happened.
Honestly, it seems like it's too much history and biases for and against several entities in this thread to really know what's what, so I'll let the truth sort itself out between those directly involved. One way or another, it's only so long fake thugs can pretend.
