wow, never knew that it got 3 mics in The Source, thats fukking awful.

One of the best albums of the mid 90s hands down.. Production on there was crazy! Classic.

The Source was notoriously stingy, even ground breaking albums like The Chronic only got 4.5 mics

Ready to Die, OB4CL only got 4.5

But some of the biggest blunders to me are:

Dah Shinin' getting 3 mics...absolutely absurd. This might be their worst...even OGC Da Storm got 3.5, and Dah Shinin' is easy the better album.

Liquid Swords 4 mics...laughable. They didn't even go back & give it 5. Idk how you listen to this and give it the same rating as Tical.

Doggystyle 4 mics...another laughable rating. West coast albums were automatically subtracted 1 mic.

Midnight Marauders 4 mics...after giving 5 mics to Tribe's first two albums idk how they give this only 4. Maybe bc It didn't necessarily tread new water? But this is arguably their best work (I still prefer The Low End Theory)

At least RTD, The Chronic & OB4CL got 4.5 and eventually got re-rated to 5 mics.
