The short answer is you only buy the license. The longer answer varies from game to game. You have some where if you don't agree to the user agreement, that shyt closes
Others only require an agreement for online play
That sucks but I guess that's just the way it is with pretty much any digital product. I'd rather have a physical copy even with all the potential drawbacks (losing it, scratches, stolen, ect) but technology doesn't go backwards so I guess this is where we are now.
