He's a lyrical rapper from NY. Fact is that the original Gangsta Grillz was gonna sound like V6 but he scrapped it after he dropped that "Follow The Leader" joint cause it was wack as fukk, the French Montana track was leaked and he wouldn't have released it cause 50 had a problem with French at the time.

I'm a huge Banks fan but that nikka knows what a hit is, I think there's gonna be a G-Unit project before he drops another solo album...

Yea but his hits were 'On Fire' and 'BBB' which isn't some far cry from what he was doing as a lyrical punch line gangsta rapper from NYC.

On Fire was in 04 and BBB was sat on for a year before he released it. Look at how 50 dropped like 5 singles and they all flopped in 2012/13.

But as I said, there's gonna be a G-Unit project soon he waitin' on that

:pachaha: ...yeah aiight...I'm willing to bet those "hits" would've been received pretty much the exact same way as the rest of the mixtapes he's released over the past couple years

Seems like Banks wants to be a respected MC more than he wants the popularity, but what he doesn't realize is hip hop is a popularity contest. Most "Hip Hop Fans" don't respect artist legacies integrity, they praise "relevance" and accomplishments. Thats why Jay-Z and Eminem can continue to drop garbage and sub par music and still get praised.

I dont think he cares or maybe he would've tried to release his "hit singles"
Not everybody is in the game to be like Jay and whoever. The dude has dropped cosistent piff mixtape or not. The shyt is out there to be heard. I can respect the way he moves because he does what he wants and the ART speaks for itself

I don't think Banks core fans would even mind if Banks released the material, because he actually sounds good over mainstream music & Im not even a mainstream guy.
