I kinda had no expectations for this album :manny:

I used to stan Joe Budden back in like 06 but I don't fukk with any of these dude at all, and I despise the ground Eminem walks on.

I'm kinda shocked that I'm feeling the album. I'd give it a 7.2/10

What songs yall hate? I cant fukk with rescue me, throw it away, or the other joint with eminem. there's some other ehh joints too. I actually fukk with the Cee Lo joint :manny:

Eminem stuns with Slaughterhouse - News, Entertainment - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk

Eminem has created a "masterpiece" with Slaughterhouse's new album. :umad:

The hip-hop supergroup - consisting of Royce da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Joe Budden - are signed to the star's label Shady Records and Interscope. The stars are currently promoting their latest release Welcome to: Our House, and Royce has revealed that Eminen encouraged the rappers to relax when they were in the recording studio.

"He told me and said, 'I want y'all to go in there and do exactly what y'all did on the first album. I'm not gonna go in there and step on your creative integrity,'" Royce told RapFix Live. "What we did was we went in there, we rapped - we all got drunk, went to the studio and rapped. We handed him... about 40 and he went there and turned it into a masterpiece."

Royce is thrilled with the hard work Eminen - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - put into mixing the album.

He believes the way the legendary rapper tweaked their material transformed the songs into something great.

"I love this album, and it's because of Marshall. He went in there and he basically took the songs that he felt like we should be using; did segues, skits, mixed just about the whole album, he added instruments to the songs that he felt needed extra instruments," he added. "He put his foot into it. He did just as much work as we did.

The shyt aint that bad like someone else said its about 7/10 maybe a 6.5. I cant believe they would contradict themselves tho. There is this video of them at best buy signing autographs and shyt saying this is the best day of thier life.

I thought the album was trash but im not suprised it's getting good reviews. A lot of people especially ones who arent familiar with Slaughterhouse are gonna hear a bunch of double timed flows with some metaphors about nothing mixed in and be blown away by how 'lyrical' they are.

oh boy here we go.

let me put up my disclaimer, i actually like EM a lot. think he's top 10. so you cant use that "he hate em" stuff when i say what i'm about to say about this last SH album.

Truth is, album #1 for what it was, was about a 6.75 to 7 max. it was not supposed to be radio friendly. it was not supposed to have a bunch of danceable songs or songs where you have a hook that even a 5 yr old could recite. that wasnt the point of their first album or this group.

what happened on album #2. there was an obvious PUSH for more COMMERCIAL appeal. the problem with that is this. These dudes are ANTI commercial. So how can Crew AntiCommercial go for a commercial appeal? ti doesnt make sense. this is why this 2nd album is BAD and cant be rated. because its trying to do something thats against what the group represents.

Now with that said. if you take the songs for what they are if you never heard of SH or any of these individual rappers. then sure the album isnt horrible. its okay. 7 is still to high. more like a 6.5 AT BEST. thats because they have a lot of GENERIC sounding songs on this album. they chose to not rap as hard and put the same time in on lyricism that they did with the first album. i mean there are songs on this new one. where YOU know these dudes were not even trying to rap that hard. they were just doing a song. and that again is ANTI slaughterhouse as we knew them.

NO the album isnt trash as far as are there decent melodic tunes on the album? YES. are their some decent hooks and decent lyrics on the album? YES. is any song so bad where you just cant listen to it? NO.

but the album as a whole is hard to listen to, because you know what these guys stood for. its a HYPOCRITICAL album at its finest. and thats why its a bad album.

You hit the nail on the head, friend. The irony is if they kept the dumbed down shyt to 2 or 3 songs and stayed true to their sound for the rest of the album, they would've kept their credibility in tact and probably sold more albums in the long run.

And i'v seen a lot of people justifying how wack the album is by saying "of course they're gonna sound more commercial, what would be the point of signing to Shady if they werent?" which is a valid point but if you're gonna try to go for mainstream appeal at least put out **** that's catchy or listenable. This album is :trash: even by those standards.
