I remember I didn't know the word "twerk" when some girl I worked with used it. This was in 2012. Don't know when they started using the word.

lol say word. i first heard twerk in '96 when i was down in atlanta. this dude was telling a sex story about some chick and he was like, "man all that ass and she ain't know how to twerk that shyt when she was riding." i ain't say shyt but i was like fukk this nikka say? 4 years later ying yang drops whistle while you twurk (they spelled it different) and i was like oh that must be some atlanta shyt. btw that record used to kill the mothafukkin clubs, it was just a matter of time before they blew up completely

Where I come from a “dub” is a win...or a $20 bill. Both things good.

But I’m hearing people use “dub” in a context that sounds bad, and I don’t know the reason.

Change it back.
I know some people still say when they putting the blunt out they bouta "dub" that hoe out. I got used to it and still say it in that scenario sometimes around newer acquaintances and they still understand so idk

Then we got the $20 bill, we got the win, and we got the west side (Houston)

A lot of terms are becoming more and more ambiguous

Still not sure what young nikkas mean when they post this joint

Young Thug/YSL gang shyt that kind of was a signal to each other they ain’t trust someone or was going do them dirty (rob, violate, kill) but then just turned into some generic shyt kids started doing. Kinda like the one-eyed willie blood gang sign JimJones and them used to do that nikkas like James Harden b*stardized and just turned into a generic hand single after you make a 3.

also dude asking about slatt that’s also Young Thug/YSL lingo that means slime love all the time

Slime is just some shyt they call each other

I had no idea what that “bing bong” shyt was about.

I had to call my cousins from NY to explain it to me. Apparently it started as a Cony Island thing

I live in NC and hear it all the time, which sounds really dumb because we don’t even have subway system,

Bing Bong is just a viral phrase/noise a rapper from Coney Island named Nems started on that sidetalknyc Instagram page (the page that had the viral knicks fans saying fukk Trae Young). He’s mimicking the opening sound the same channel uses on all their videos which is the noise the New York subway uses when the train doors open/close. It doesn’t mean anything and like many of the phrases on here is just some generic internet shyt.
