I doubt it when for most people Doom's closest comparison is a Kool Keith.

He is very hit or miss. I will say The Easy Truth album with Apollo and Barrel Brothers with Torae are really good but on his solo projects it seems like he tries way too hard to be overly complex with his rhymes. I didn't love A Dream Deferred, Music For My Friends and so far this one isn't hitting me.

I havent listened yet but always excited about new projects from Sky. I started listening to M4MF and Easy at the same time and of course I listened to Easy mostly in the beginning because of the consistent production. that was one of my fav albums...but M4MF as I listed to it more was crazy in its own right and Dream was so hip hop to me, that shyt never disappoints. If anything I was let down on Barrel Brothers because the inconsistent or out of place production. I always give Sky a listen though because his beat picking and music is top quality.

same here, just got around to listening and its his typical album. shyt is dope as fukk. his albums all sound the same in a way but distinguishable from the last.
