According to the FTC, Skechers agreed to pay a hefty $40 million fine to settle charges the California-based company deceived consumers by making "unfounded claims that Shape-ups would help people lose weight, and strengthen and tone their buttocks, legs and abdominal muscles

As part of the settlement, customers who bought Skechers "toning" shoes will be eligible for refunds either directly from the FTC or through a court-approved class-action lawsuit, officials said.

If you bought a pair or know someone who did might be a come up.

This "white" woman sued the people who made Nutella because they had put out an advertisement that Nutella could be a healthy part of your breakfast. So she fed it to her children and later found out that it really wasn't that healthy. She felt the ad was deceiving. She won. Class action suit is that if you bought Nutella from between 2009 and 2012, you could get in on it and get awarded $4 per container but you can only claim up to buying 5 containers. I was honest and did buy 2 of their containers. Never really saw any of their ads. I love hazelnut spread.
