I played the shyt out of the first skate and bought Skate 2. I heard part 3 was ass. I've been watching Thrasher's KOTR on Viceland. shyt is wild. They had those Thrasher challenges in the game. I also loved the soundtrack. Skate 1's soundtrack was fukking amazing. Made me fukk with music I normally don't fukk with.

Skate 3 was honestly my GOAT skater. Once I played skate I was looking at them Tony hawk games like Chucked THPS in the bushes real fukkin' quick.

Skate has been the king ever since. Free-skating with ya boys tryna find dope lines>>>

I actually think skate 3 is the best, gameplay wise. You could argue that the city was unrealistically perfect for skating but it's a video game, so who cares? Lots of dope spots to skate plus you can make your own parks/levels. Skate 1 had the best story mode tho out of all three, no question. Some of the spots like the schoolyard & downtown plazas remain some of my favorite spots in the series

The THPS games actually got me into skateboarding and I've been skating forreal forreal for almost 10 years now. THPS paved the way but they fell way the fukk off once skate came out. Idk how non-skaters feel about the controls/gameplay but real skaters would look at skate like it was NBA 2K compared to THPS which was like NBA Jam. I was extremely adept at both but Skate is definitely much more like actual skating in the sense of having to learn tricks and really having to plan out your lines & positioning/angles depending on what you're tryna do. You can spend hours just chillin skating the same spot doing simple shyt or practicing your go-to tricks. I like to do a lot of more "realistic" skating in skate (I mostly played single player) but i can definitely cheese that shyt doing 360 hardflip railheads to bluntslide down a 40 stair just to piss people off. They got real floaty with the physics after a while so any type of megaramp skating in multiplayer was fukking ridiculous.

I skated for a little so when I picked up skate it was fire and fresh as hell. Finding dope lines and shyt was always nice. We would mess around in that Hall of Meat (n/h) mode too.

Remember the homies and I wanted to put together a fire ass crew tape on skate. 3 but we didn't have any capture capabilities.

I really liked the 'realistic mode' in Skate 3. you had to be more precise with your grinds and shyt. but at least you didn't pop like 2 feet over the ledge every time

EA announces Skate 4 development team



This is crazy, idk how long we've been waiting. Sad thing is tho EA really been shytting the bed with how they treat customers and studios but people love sociopaths so I guess theyll probably shove some bullshyt in this game. But let's hope they let the team do their thing. fukking skate on ps5 could be an all time gaming experience.
