I'm sorry but I have to agree. Even when Lebron has a bad game, he doesn't consistently throw up bad shots.

the worst he will do is be passive and pass instead of shoot but you will rarely see lebron shoot his team out of the game because he's intelligent enough to recognise bad shot selections and either pass to an open team mate or drive to the basket for a higher percentage shot

It's all a part of the shift in the last 5-10 years. Used to be big men dominated, defense wins championships, jump shooting teams can't win it all, game slows down in the playoffs, chucking 3s was bad basketball, playing zone or switching meant you were a bad defensive team, etc.

All shifted to the opposite end of the spectrum in today's NBA

Not calling timeout now is part of that too
