You shocked? It was simple as that. They’ll go so hard in the first half exert energy getting to the hole only to have chase the Warriors around on D right after tires everyone out.

Cavs know what is in store. LeBron will have to play defense to try to keep Cavs in the game but may lose his legs on the offensive end.

What's next after this?

No comment on game 7 :francis:

That CP3 injury may haunt us for a while. That was the difference between winning in 6 [and giving the biggest middle finger to all the naysayers + a championship]... and seeing all the wheels come off in back 2 back games as we reverted back to last season's Jekyll and Hyde offense w/o Paul.

Bare minimum we need a quality backup point guard. Ideally we need another offensive creator/facilitator at the wing position. Only 2 people on our team know how to dribble and one of them is turnover prone and gasses out late with all the excessive dribbling

But the big issue is that Capela and 33yr old CP3 are up for big money. And we're still paying Ryan Anderson 20 million+ for 2 more years. I love our supporting cast, esp PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon, but our 3rd highest paid player (Ryan) is literally our 10th best player. And teams aren't going to take him off our hands without wanting Eric, and likely PJ too.

Obviously Morey is going to throw our hat into the Lebron sweepstakes [unrealistic/improbable as that is], and i'm perfectly fine with that tbh. If we can keep CP3, Harden, PJ, Clint.. I'd painfully consider what the rest could get us and weigh the options carefully, but we'll have to see what those contract negotiations look like first for Clint/Paul. CP3 will be a big decision because of his age.

Hard to finish effectively at the rim when the refs dont call fouls.

You can tell who reads box scores and who watches games.
I wish people would not bring this point up because the games Rockets won, no fouls were called against them and Warriors took it.

Especially, Chris Paul funny style ass. Curry is allowed to be held when running without the ball.

That’s not the difference maker when Warriors lose, though. Curry still goes to the hole knowing he won’t get calls.

That’s why most analysts don’t even bring it up. 27 missed 3s in a row did them in. Fatigue did them in. That’s why they stopped penetrating because they exerted so much energy doing it in the first half while having to play defense.

Refs swallowed their whistles and allowed both Harden and Gordon to create space using their off arms, and equally allowed contact from the defense. Its the playoffs, no one wants to see a freethrow contest, I'd rather the refs let them play.
