If no one gets the majority needed to win (looking like this may happen if Cruz and Rubio can actually win a fukking contest), it's settled at convention time. This is where the establishment starts bribing people and utilizes the vast webs of connections, jobs, and favors to swing delegates behind one candidate to beat Trump. Most all the delegates are already political insiders of some kind (besides Trump's), so this won't be hard.

Trump, as rich and popular as he is, won't be able to match the machinery and money of the entire Republican elite. It's a wrap if he doesn't get a solid majority. And even if he does, some of his delegates might swing back to someone else given the incentives these power brokers will be dangling. He can't win.
