Well.

Maybe there is a concept of a plan for this.

Getting Mac Jones for peanuts is actually an incredibly saavy move. It does 3 things.

1) He can play at 75% of Purdy's level. Has a similar skill set and he has dozens of games as a starter.

2) We can use him as trade bait should we need extra picks.

3) Protects us in case the Brock Purdy negotiations start bleeding into OTAs, mini camps etc.

Trade CMC before the draft and let Purdy play out the final season? This smells like a 2 season rebuild looking at that list. If Lynch gonna set it off don't pretend or halfway that shyt. Trade Kittle ass too.

Nah I'm not ready to blow it up. I don't care if we extend Purdy or let him play out the final season, but we should keep CMC and Kittle, neither of them are washed yet. Assuming Aiyuk comes back full strength and Pearsall takes a step forward, we'll have a playoff-caliber offense if we pull another Puni at one of the LG/C/RT spots. Defense needs more work but if we pick up a blue chipper in the front 7 with our 1st round pick, and get another 1-2 solid guys with the rest our picks, I think this defense will be able to compete.

This!!!! Jaun Jennings deserves and opportunity with a loaded offense.
