I doubt they gonna remake it. Probably just reboot it with a whole new story.
Remake would be what they're doing breh. It's only a two movie series so reboot wouldn't apply. Writers use them shyts interchangly but they're not the same.

I dont think the original story will hold up in a 2015 world breh. I'm sure they are gonna give it that Pitch Perfect treatment with a bunch of glee/hsm singers and some rnb artist to play Whoopi's part. No way they can sell a movie with someone like Whoopi in today's market. I'm thinking this is gonna be a full reboot for the new generation. Yea I know she isn't. I wouldn't check for this remake/reboot/whatever anyways. The last songs in both Sister Acts can never be outdone or duplicated. No I agree with that what I'm saying is simply a semantic argument so whatever. Although to be fair to them, and I'm not saying it's s good or bad idea, but Whoopi ain't the star she used to be

One of the greatest performances in any musical film.
either Viola Davis or Octavia Spencer will be offered Whoopi's role.
What movie would you remake breh?...Speaking as someone who badly wants to write a remake of his own one day I don't think any remake is trying to outdo the original unless it was a bad movie or just a dated movie. You try to put your spin on the material and make it fresh. I'm sure the gospel aspect will still be there and it will probably be a combination of part one and two rather than a straight remake of part one which doesn't have the hipness of part 1 but also isn't as good of a movie, in my eyes anyway. I think part 1 works better overall as a flick but part two has the more standout scenes and is more fun to watch

Hold that thought. This might be thread worthy.
