Michael Jordan's career without Scottie Pippen:

5 seasons
5 losing seasons
1-9 playoff record
0 Playoff series wins
Swept 2x

Folks be speaking of pippen like he was somewhat near jordans level these days

shyt is asinine

You would think jordan didnt put up 37 ppg before pip got there

Shyt is disgusting
Case in point Pip ain't do shyt in 88 or 89 and they keep running with this narrative before Pip like he was better or on par with the dude.

Got get some sun bruh.

This is 4k proof that ‘Bron haters’ are the one with the problem: it’s the dead of off-season nothin but summer league (or nothing) to talk about, no 24/7 lebron coverage forced down your throat (apparently no pause), yet you still thinking bout this ngga. Its you
They're the real bronsexuals.

You can leave Bron outta this and still call a spade a spade. The last dance was actually TOO kind to Pippen and the more he runs his mouth, the more footage you watch, the more you realize that while a great player, he pulled a lot of dissapearing acts and actually got some undeserved credit due to Bron haters and MJ showing the slightest hint of humility.

Could he have done what he did "Without" Pippen? No. Could he have done it with any other legit second option...absolutely, maybe even better. Then again, he was actively avoiding playing on the same team with people like Clyde, Nique ect...

Dog imagine had he gone to portland....he and Clyde wouldn't have been as redundant as you think

10 tripple doubles in 11 games...land him in Portland and he's 6'6 maxed potential Russell Westbrook with effeciency on both ends tearing ass along side a legit number 1 who didn't need or want to shoot in volume.

:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

I always thought it would be dumb for them to play together but what it would have really done is push MJ to his NATURAL position as a PG and made his statlines and records that much more insane. Had you given him the leeway to play like Lebron from 1984 on...

He made a lottery team into a playoff team. with nothing but scrubs and aging vets as a rookie.

Are we really gonna brag about making the playoffs with a record below .500? He made the playoffs with a 30-52 record :mjlol:

No, Scottie Pippen wasn't as good as Michael Jordan.

That's silly. But Scottie Pippen was absolutely an integral part of the Bulls elevating their game and getting past the Pistons and winning those championships.

Jordan's legacy would have played out a lot differently without Scottie Pippen. That is true.
But it's also true that Jordan's legacy would have played out differently if Portland had a young healthy Sabonis.
It would have played out differently if Boston didn't lose Len Bias to a drug overdose.

It's easy to look at the results and pretend that things would have ended up the way they did, no matter what. But that's survivorship bias, or confirmation bias or something. I'm not sure what the proper term would be to use here.

It's very easy to envision Michael Jordan having a career filled with personal achievement but not championships if the right players or coaches didn't arrive when they did.

Some of you think everything that happens is destiny.

4 teams made the playoffs that year with a losing record and two more with even 41 and 41 it was common place back then before expansion hence that was one of the reasons they expanded I read because of the playoff format of losing teams getting in. Plus all the revenue Mike generated so learn some history.
