I don't think the independant contractor status holds up in court. Brock was working in NJPW before even challenging and beating WWE in court but Brock is a special case, a wrestler of high value and means who is also indifferent to burning a bridge with WWE. Probably the only wrestler who can flip it on Vince and say :umad:you will always come crawling back . These other wrestlers this shyt is their job and they don't want to mess up a potential return.

It's crazy they still get away with that. I think that's one positive of WWE not being that popular anymore, all their critics are wrestling marks who will forgive anything if the show is good.
Probably holds up when you got a good enough lawyer. Coke boys lawyers even forced turner to lean back.

WWE Reportedly Will Not Grant Sin Cara's Release

WWE Reportedly Will Not Grant Sin Cara's Release - Wrestling Inc.

As noted earlier at this link, Sin Cara took to Twitter this afternoon to announce that he has requested his release from WWE.

It looks like Cara will remain under contract to WWE as word going around today is that WWE officials will not be granting the release request.

Furthermore, Cara was scheduled to go on to WWE TV at the end of the current European tour, but now plans have changed and he will be going home instead of going on to next Monday's RAW in Boston, Massachusetts.

Cara is working the current WWE European tour, losing singles matches to Andrade.

It was also reported today that the masked Superstar reportedly has 3 years left on his current WWE contract. Word going around is that Cara is interested in working for the Combate Americas MMA promotion, who also employs several pro wrestlers, including his good friend Alberto El Patron.

Stay tuned for updates on Sin Cara's WWE future.

The funny thing is they could put another dude under the mask and no one would be the wiser about it. You got Rey, Andrade and Carrillo have all the tools to be that Latino star when Rey retires. Hunico is pushing 40, if he wants to go let him. They lose nothing, when’s the last time anyone saw a Sin Cara mask in the crowd.

Wrestlers these days are backwards.

Back in the day wrestlers like sting, Nash, Hall, Steiner would've sat on it & collect that easy money.

I mean when was the last time Sin Cara was even relevant. Wait until he finds out nobody cares about him when his contract expires.:mjlol:

Raven tried but it was out of the statute of limitations. Someone should try once Trump is out of office.

They collected the easy money after their primes ended. Some guys work so little in WWE that they’d absolutely make more elsewhere
