I remember on the Talking Simpsons podcast they talked about how the Kamp Krusty episode back in season 3 I believe was originally supposed to be a movie but for some reason they just made it an episode instead
should have made that piff episode a movie

The Simpsons along with Married With Children, X-Files and other shows helped build Fox to what it is today so I can imagine the amount of loyalty the network has for the show and would renew it for 60 more seasons if they asked for it

As a kid I grew up with no cable so I watch all the reruns of The Simpsons (along with Home Improvement, Married With Children and etc..) a million times to the point where I can just hear the audio of an episode and I can perfectly see the visual of the episode playing in my mind
Talking Simpsons and all of the other podcasts the Lazer Time guys make I fukks with heavy
same here, sometimes I be busting out laughing listening to the podcast/audio of an episode and my coworker be looking at me like
so many classic moments that still hold up.
There aren't as frequent as it was during those seasons, but simpsons still can get laughs from me now and days.

One of the largest cast of recurring characters, Treehouse of Horror in general, quotes on top of quotes.
Who Killed Mr. Burns, Mr. Plow, "Lisa needs Braces! Dental Plan", Anytime Sideshow Bob shows up, "That's a paddlin", "My dingaling! My dingaling! I want you to play with my dingaling!" Flanders snapping on everybody who tried to help rebuild his house, Itchy and Scratchy, ole boy showing up and scamming Springfield about the monorail, the Planet of the Apes musical, Homer and his mom, them going to Japan, Bart's constant prank calls to Moe, Homer and the babysitter "Sweet can", you could go on and on. A lot of this stuff is stuck in my head.
