Maybe y'all know more about the guy who commented but I don't think he was being a simp...he didn't say anything that was simpish but rather satirical.
His comment came across as kinda sarcastic, and that's why she likely responded to him in that manner; she might have misinterpreted him as trying to be funny regarding her situation
