Leopards rarely prey on adult male gorillas, but they do it specifically of western lowland gorillas (Gorilla gorilla gorilla). Usually, they avoid “silverback” leaders that are stronger and focus on young individuals or offspring.

How is this even a question?? Leopards kill gorillas. A tiger or lion make mince meat of a gorilla. Those muscles mean nothing to claws and fangs.
