bernard hopkins. started boxing as a young teen. was a golden gloves amateur champ. went to prison. boxed in prison. came out of prison turned pro. still fighting at 48 :youngsabo:

where was the late start or break? :youngsabo:

And how often does that happen. We're talking averages here, the majority, not freaks of nature. Men degrade. Anderson has been fighting the best of the best for a long time. Hopkins has been coasting through his golden years fighting bums. Put anderson in a lesser organization and watch him dominate but people will say

*but hes fighting bums*

I don't want to see Anderson become Roy Jones status :sadbron:

I don't either. That's my fear. Even before the first Weidman fight, I thought it was Weidman's fight. I just thought it would go down differently. Ever since I saw Weidman vs Andre Galvao at the Abu Dhabi in 2009...something about Weidman being a purple belt and almost strangling the current arguable best pound for pound grappler on the planet. He's way more of a phenom than he gets credit for.

But yeah. I would love to see Silva come back and rock Weidman, I'm just scared about Silva's wrestling. I still think Silva easily takes 99% of 185. I would like to see Silva/Jacare.

after I saw that fight I told my boy whos a HUGE anderson fan, that Weidman may be up there with him in a few, and he had no idea who weidman was and laughed it off.....Something about the dude just seemed like he had "it". I think at this stage, Weidman is too well rounded to lose to silva, but anything can happen any given night. Silvas the GOAT, but its someone elses time now, IMO.

:rudy: God already told anderson that its time to retire but he didnt heed the message and now, i suspect he'll be made humble again. Weidman already had him unconscious in their second fight. He should really get out of there. This is a young mans game and hes to past his prime, friend.

God told him to retire? I'm not religious, and I don't bash religion, but what does God have to do with a knockout and snapped shinbone? Unless you're trying to say God knocked him the fukk out. :usure:

Saying that God favoured one fighter over the other doesn't sound right.. all should be equally favoured.
