Silkk wasn't rapping off beat it was his style to rhyme fast then slow down like E-40

No Limit had better rappers than they get credit for. Would go toe to toe with any label and win.

I defintely fukks with Mac. Wasn't a fan of Mystikal's music, but I respect his ability and skill as an MC. Mia X, Young Bleed, and Soulja Slim were all cool.

But as far as that insanity about No Limit going toe to toe with any label?

:mjlol:

It's an insult to our intelligence to say any label that had acts like Mo B. D*CK, Mr. Serv On, C-Murder, Magic, Skull Duggery, and Silk are going toe to toe with even independent labels of the 90s, let alone the top labels like Def Jam, Priority, or Death Row.

Imagine somebody seriously thinking No Limit rappers even deserve to breath the same air in a room with the roster from Loud Records.

You must have just started listening to music, in 97, 98, No Limit had the game on lock :mjlol:

Those artists that you are huggin on to on the East Coast were scared to drop their album on the same day as a NL artist :russ:

In real time, NL ran the rap game and then Cash Money took over.

I was in college in '98 my man, and part of a college radio show getting stacks and stacks of records and cds from record pools every week from labels all over the country. Try again.

Maybe you dudes are misunderstanding something here (or maybe its me).

I thought someone referring to NL "going toe to toe with any label" meant the quality of the music and skill of the artists on those labels.

But apparently you and him are referring to the sales and financial standing of the labels involved.

If that's the case, then that's my bad on misunderstanding his point. I don't and never have gave two sh*ts about how much an album or artist sales. Fukk do I care? It ain't my money.

My only concern here is the music.

I believe I stated that nobody talked about sales, that kind of talked started coming from folks who started listening to music in 2006 or so.

I stated in 97, 98, NL ran the music game. You can't run the music game with bad music. Nobody buys low quality music on a consistent basis.

In real time those labels that you mentioned, when NL was out, none of those labels were within reach with NL.

Those labels that you are standing on, would not drop their artist's album on the same day that a NL album came out. That's what I am saying. Others have said the same thing.

NL had those same labels and artists that you want to champion, scared to put out their album in real time.

Act like you were there in 97-98
