i was probably Silkk the Shocker's biggest fan up top, no bs. probably because i was so entranced by the mafia lifestyle at that point and he had madd songs that was on some mob sh!t, i can't call it, that was my n!gga though.

i gotta be a candidate for that too.

silkk had a young ninja rockin skullies dam near into the summertime.

^i know all about boosie. one of the few bright spots of this wack era for southern hip-hop.

youre just following trends and sippin the kool-aid.

boosie would be lucky to be a b-teamer on no limit.

You'd have to go waaaaaaaaaay down No Limit's roster to find somebody as wack as Lil Boosie breh.

He'd be more in the c-level area of their lineup with nikkas like Mr. Serv On. :pachaha:

Boosie ain't even seein' Kane & Abel or Big Ed the Assassin let alone fukkin' Fiend, Mystikal, Silk, C, P, Mac etc.

yea, i mean, i cant cosign the wack part.

but yea, he would be a c-teamer at best, now that you mention it.

its pretty telling that he couldnt blow up during louisianna's golden era. if someboy like serv-on had the benefit of coming out today, he would be king chit as well.

:laff: at this turning into a Boosie bashing thread. I don't really mess with Boosie's music like that, but yeah, I prefer much of No Limit's music to his. I still remember listening to early Boosie on South Coast Coalition (which also featured a couple of artists that ended up on No Limit like T-Bo).

Silkk in '97-'99 was huge though. Whatever deficiencies he had as an MC weren't even noticeable. The streets, females, and even Hip Hop media were on the Silkk The Shocker bandwagon during that period.

As far as this thread, it felt like Mystikal was the show stealer on Ghetto D (and pretty much every other song he was featured on). Silkk had more verses, but Mystikal was just :wow: on that album. I remember how everybody tried to rap his verse on "Make Em Say Uggh".

this thread was a bad look for boosie.

i like boosie as much as the next guy but being big in rap in recent years doesnt translate well to better eras. boosie is like a big fish in a small pond.

'90s no limit >>>> the past 10 years of the south
