I recorded my stressful encounter
this is at 2am, I love this experience tho
the sound design is superb
:laff:They were beating you to death in the corner.

So, you're going for head and body shots like any other game.
Try shooting their legs first. It'll drop them fast and you can run up and destroy them with your melee.
You'll have way less trouble.
Also, I don't know if it's my screen and/or youtube compressing the hell out of the blacks, but your brightness looks way darker than when I play.
It shouldn't be pitch black outside of the flashlight's light. You should still be able to make out the environment immediately around you with the light off.
I play on an oled and the darks are dark but I'm not stumbling looking through a small tunnel of light the whole time like it appeared you were. (Again...could just be YouTube)

Playing this on normal, do I need to conserve ammo or good to let 'em fly? I would ask the same about health, but I am having to use those up as soon as I get them.

just got through the hospital last night, holy shyt the nurses don't fukk around

I gotta say this shyt is wayyy scarier than RE2 Remake, the ambient audio is on God tier status, im hearing breathing sounds in the dark hallways and it had me shook to move

all this is pretty much new to me since I never played through the OG so all these nod Easter eggs are going over my head

Finished Toluca prison last night.

When I first looked at the map I thought I was in for a really long section of being lost and stumbling around the dark but instead, it was another example of how brilliant the map is in this game. If you go around and check every door, your map is going to mark all the locked doors, all the doors that need specific keys, etc. If you just interact with every door and go into every room there's no way you'll be lost as to what you need to do next.

The strategy of a couple shots to the legs and follow up immediately with melee continues to be the cheat code. I have over 10 syringes and 10 pill bottles and haven't died a single time. I make sure to scour every single room so I always have plenty of ammo and heals.

The game is definitely scary and the devs did a phenomenal job of making it scary enough without going too far and making people not want to play it at all :pachaha:.What this game needs is more enemy variety. I feel like by the time you get to Toluca prison, you definitely should be having to deal with some more powerful aggressive type enemies. The entire time I was on edge expecting some horrifying enemies to come running at me but no, just more of the same 3 enemies I've mopped the floor with for the past 8 hours or so. I did enjoy the puzzles in the prison though.

Yeah, the Spider Mannequins aren't doing enough.

This game is better on Hard though. It's way too easy to stun and kill them on Standard.
