Please tell it. Someone earlier in this thread blamed "liberals" for co-opting the word and using it for LGBTQ issues. In fact I've never once heard a Democrat politician or a liberal activist openly use the word "woke" in some type of trendy or rhetorical context. Ever. Never once heard a Democrat refer to any of their ideas, policies, themselves, or anything they were doing as "woke." The word was just a social media trend until right wing media discovered caught on, and just like the word "socialism" and "canceled" and "sjw" right wing conservatives who can't win elections on the merits of their actual policies but through petty smears and fearmongering of "liberals" knew they found a new scary buzzword to rally "average Americans" against.

It's just like last week when you had a bunch of people here claiming AOC is a phony who pretended to be handcuffed for cameras and publicity. Completely missing the fact that the only set of people putting out the video for publicity are right wing news outlets to smear her. AOC herself nor anyone in her team was seeking publicity for her arrest.

It's sad that in 2022 people still don't understand how this game works. Republicans have been using this strategy of co-opting a friendly term and turning it into some curse word, part of a threatening agenda. You never heard a Democrat or a liberal use the term "critical race theory" either. Republicans just made it up, put words in our mouths, and said "look at what these liberals are pushing against our children! CRT and woke politics!" And gullible fools believe it and really think liberals are making up these terms and creating these agendas to "indoctrinate" others rather than defending the freedom to teach challenging subject matters like white supremacy and racism in school.

Folks gotta really wake up and stop letting Republicans run the political rhetorical game in this country. That's the reason why you have such an army of black Republican party apologists on places like this forum who feel like they're being "forced" to be Democrats or something. Who told you that most black people are Democrats by force? Republicans? It be the same motherfukkers who swear they can "think for themselves" who allow Republicans to define to them what being either a Democrat or a liberal or "woke" is. Basing their entire opinion on Republican Party, Newsmax, Fox News propaganda they're told on the internet and then calling themselves "free thinkers" while repeating the nonsense verbatim. Because the mods of this site have played into all the strategic attacks MAGAs put out there, claiming they have a freedom of speech to be respected and that anyone who calls out their hateful rhetoric and blatant election engineering misinformation spreading is a "a DNC shill agent." Especially when they have also successfully been able to tie shallow right wing politics like "ZoMg IMMIGRANTS!!!!" into pro-black politics, as was the case with that ADOS garbage that was damn near a requirement to co-sign in order to be considered pro-black during Trump's entire time in office.

So in all their attempts to not come off as biased DNC shills the moderators became complete and total stooges for the GOP allowing just about any right wing misinformation, bigotry, conspiracy theory, and anti-left hate speech to run wild without restraint on this forum while jumping on this "free thinker" bandwagon that anyone thinks critically about the hashtags and the rhetoric and the bullshyt is indeed an agent trying to undermine "reparations" or "African Americans" or whatever carrot-on-a-stick Tariq Nasheed got these fools angry about.

First of all, solid posting throughout this thread. I don't have patience for any of this shyt anymore, these guys hardly engage in a faithful manner, I wouldn't mind voice discussions but I'm not wasting my time posting a simple paragraph only to have one sentence, or worse, one word taken out of that post and used to form a separate argument. There are a scary amount of people that are incapable of treating an entire post as one cohesive thought, and they don't do that shyt intentionally. The effort you get back from those guys is always the worst, ironically one of dudes in this thread complained about me being reduced to one sentence responses, I had to laugh because in general they are the ones doing that shyt but I saw no reason to provide an effort post to the longest post they provided which was primarily composed of insults and the rest was just a misunderstanding of how our legislative branch functions. Now someone like @Rhakim might explain that shyt but I'm over it at this point. These people aren't going to vote, likely never have voted, they really can't be reached. I would rather spend that time on the phones or knocking on doors of people that are able to get registered and are willing to at least vote once in their lives, those people are far more reasonable than anyone you meet online. The only reason why I even slightly combat that shyt is on the off chance someone in the grey area stumbles across that nonsense and thinks its enlightened speak, but I don't ever expect to change the mind of an interlocutor.

On the matter of banning these guys, I would really only ban the concern trolls, which seems to be a decent chunk of the right on this site, some mods do bush for the obfuscating or clear trolling, but they don't get paid for this stuff and who knows when they are on to see anything go down. I don't mind engaging with anyone, but they have to be honest in discussions and they need to be able to track more than one argument in post.

I can empathize with some of these people but they have just been led too far astray, I doubt anyone could convince them otherwise.

The levels of delusion and self hatred are unfathomable. I know the answer, but does a person like this understand that the main reason they were rioting is because allegedly the fraud happened in "Democrat" (read: black) urban areas like Detroit, Philly, Atlanta, etc (not to mention supporting the GOP in the first place). Their rioting boiled down to believing black votes shouldn't count, and here is this Samuel L in Django disgrace giving away 5 years of his life over it.
