Im simply not good enough for this game. I cant get through Sean stage 2. And even if I do, i'll be like 75. Ive tried probably legit like 100 times now, even getting back to him is hard as shyt.

Is level 2 the hardest?

Is level 2 the hardest?

imo it is…a reviewer said it was a make it or break it level and I agree

I’m surprised I beat it and got to a point where I can comfortably do so even if I die a few times on that level…there was a point where I couldn’t even touch him in round 1 lol…and then when I did beat him in round 1 I was in my 70s

even tho I hardly use a majority of the perks, I think running thru level 1 and 2 over and over again to build up points also helped me to master the basics…once I got serious about taking on sean (at which point I had played lvl 1 and 2 enough to unlock everything), the game got easy…I’ve flied thru the lvl 2, 3 and 4 bosses these last couple days

again I don’t want to overrate the perks cuz there are probably only 2 out of the 24 that I use consistently to the point it’s subconscious…but the grind of going thru those levels and mastering the basics is what helped me

I played the intro again last night for fun and did a lvl 1 run with a character with no perks and was surprised how easy it is…whereas I used to dodge the boss on that level just to get by, I found myself just parrying all his shyt and beating him as easily as a mid-tier foe…practice absolutely yields results in this game which makes it encouraging to play imo

i have it but i dont have permament focus regain. how do you unlock it permanently (focus regain)

im not talking about the focus sweep. Im talking about the counter attack sweep. theres one where you're knocked down that allows you to trip the enemy with l1. When sean sweeps you it gives you a huge window to use that on him that automatically gives you a knock down on him and his sweep doesn't take that much health from you.

it makes it so everytime he goes for the sweep in the second form you get an automatic 3 piece on him

i think one reviewer, may have been skillup, said that people would be put off by this compared to souls games because the game doesn't reward eventually victory but demands you reach a certain skill floor instead

even hades will eventually let you steamroll your way through to completion after accumulating enough Ls

Yeah, theres no such thing as “just scraping by” in this game. You either actually master the previous level or you suffer for it. You can’t progress without actually knowing what you’re doing. It’s constant skill checks

How tho? There's like no window to pull it off, and you have to be super close. The few times I pull it off she either dodges or swings through it

If you having that much trouble, get the elevator key that goes straight to the boss and take a bat or a knife
the key is to do structure damage

but you can just cheese her first form, run around and keep your distance until you see her full string, you only need to evade the last move so get close when she's about to do it and just weave, you will get the punish, you have to evade the last attack to get the combo the palm strike causes a lot of structure damage so you can end the fight quick

Up, Down, Up, Down, will dodge her entire second string, unlike the catch weapon skill to throw the knife back at her in the second phase if you can't dodge, remember when she jumps in the air to dodge with the left or right stick not up or down, and when she charges remember not to dodge until she starts coming toward, you can do big combos when you evade those attack use palm strike to cause a lot of structure damage

you better cop elden ring, since you ran through this game:ufdup:

ehh I’ll watch some videos first…if this wasn’t a fighting game then I would’ve probably lost interest a while ago…and I think this is also structured in a way that encourages you to keep playing…the perks offered a great incentive before I realized they’re not 100% necessary to have success in the game lol…chasing perks basically tricked me into going back and practicing on some mr. miyagi shyt
