This. People have been trying for eons to try to trademark celebrities shyt and they always fail. Also if you guys know anything about intellectual property you don’t have to formally fill out an application to own it. The moment you commercially sell something you automatically own the IP. So the moment Terrence Crawford starts promoting himself as a boxer and is making money from it he’s automatically the IP owner. And like you said you can’t even trademark someone else’s name. So it’s a double whammy.

Remember when Big Fendi was running around saying he owns Nicki Minaj trademark and was going to start selling Nicki merch? It’s been 4 years since he said that and I haven’t seen him sell a T-shirt
