I love Paulie as a commentator but not really feeling the other two. They don't give it that big fight feel the way Lampley does. But they are way better about not openly cheerleading like Lampley either so hard to say which one I'd take.

Of all my years watching boxing I've never seen him with a questionable card or dikkriding a fighter.

I used to love hearing dude on ESPN. Even when I disagree with Bernstein, I never question his motives. Cannot say that about most other boxing analysts.

That's what I was saying. I definitely respect his opinions and insight. I just mean strictly as far as bringing a big time feel to the fight. He got more of an ESPN Friday Night Fights type of feel.

It's kind of like comparing other announcers to Marv Albert. Others may technically be better but he just brings a big time feel.

HBO been running boxing for nearly 20 years, so you used to Lampley and Merchant doing big fights. Id rather hear Bernstein give me his honest views with no bias, and actual boxing analysis than Merchant's drunk ramblings.

Or you just can't read. I been said that I have no problem at all with his analysis and even stated that I hate the dikkriding and cheerleading of Lampley and Merchant when he was still on. I just think they capture the atmosphere of the big fight better and it may be like Mastermind said in regards to being used to hearing them for the big fights.
