I stayed up late every Saturday night to see it. Apollo and Soul Train are the only places I saw my favorite artists when we didn't have cable. I still tuned into Apollo after we got cable. The Steve Harvey era is still my favorite though.

Nah... I'm just referencing back during the BET Hip-Hop awards in 2009 they said that they were the first hip-hop dancing duo, Fonzworth Bentley stopped the bullshyt.... then the gawds Kid n Play came out to teach those youngins a little something. Crazy thing was, that was the most hype part about the show that year.

i remember i used to sty up late waiting for this to come on....specifically for the Apollo Kids segment.
I'd always be like
nikkas ain't even that talented....i could do that.
i ain't getting in front of all those nikkas tho.....i remember i went and they were just straight up ruthless. i think nikkas was just booing for fun
