When Lana left Smallville :ohlawd:

The back and forth drama with Clark and Lana stalled the show for multiple seasons. It was almost too obvious..create tension, bring them together, then break them up not long after, then slow build tension again.

Especially when the viewers know he won't end up with her anyway.

Smallville got so much better when she left, and Clark started to man up, and also when his relationship with Lois improved...Lana as a character started to get really annoying.

hes the only consistent character in all seasons. some characters will show up in a season, be missing the next, then come back in the following. mcnulty has been around consistently all seasons

you could say that about most of the cops on the show.

the main characters on the wire are the themes of the seasons.

Legends of Tomorrow got soooooooooooo much better when they got rid of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

When they got rid of this unfunny broad from The Wayans Brothers.

...and replaced her with Dee

mos def. Traded her, White Mike & the fake island dude for Dee, T.C. & Dupree. SAVED THE SHOW

They also got rid of Craig’s girlfriend & Leelah Rachon.
It's crazy how many changes Wayans Bros went through before it found its groove. Changes to the cast, the sets (Pops' Diner looked completely different at first), even how they wrote the characters. Shawn was much more of a schemer at first and they changed him to be more responsible with a higher moral code, and while Marlon stayed mostly the same, it felt like he got a bigger role as the show went on whereas Shawn was more or less the main character for much of the first season.

It definitely felt like they were constantly reiterating on the the show and figuring how what worked while not being afraid to change things. It was better in the long run, though it makes rewatching the series a trip.

Pops fukkery level skyrocketed after season 1. I think of the best later series add on was Grandma. She kept EVERYONE in line.

And didnt know about Legends, I saw only the 1/2 of the first season. Last I heard Kid Flash was doing a bid over there. Actually I haven’t seen theFlash in the last 1 1/2 season. Maybe 2...

A better thread is series that didn't fall off when a main character left. Cheers like someone mentioned is one.

Spartacus. Andy was better than Liam but the show really picked up during the prequel season and season 2.
