Yeah i can talk about ballers all day
Season one: I gave a pass because a lot of great shows had an ok season 1
Season 2: the beginning was pretty good then it started getting weird with the rock just deciding to buy the company instead of figuring out how to get his license. Then the fact that this plot doesn’t even make sense since they have to check that you’re actually certified
Season 3: just completely forgot about the season 2 ending and pretended like everything was fine. Right here is when i started hate watching it. Then the whole plot about buying the stadium or something. I can’t remember but i just remember groaning a lot.
Season 4: now we’re adding extreme sports and buying tv channels :what:. oh wait no we’re actually trying to attack the NCAA :gladbron:
Season 5:I’m buying a sports team and giving all the players new and old healthcare for the rest of their lives by just being myself :blessed:. It doesn’t matter that even the richest people in the world have trouble buying a sports team. Fukk it

Just :snoop:

There was 5 seasons of this show?!? :skip:

i tapped out after season 2

I don't know if Empire was ever going to be a great show, but season one was coherent, entertaining, and at least was easy to follow.

The first sign that the show was falling off was when Hakeem got kidnapped and rescued in ten minutes. Then the season two finale went all the way with the over-the-top cartoon shyt. :trash:

It should have ended after season three or four. The characters never learned anything and kept making the same mistakes, plots kept being introduced that nobody cared about/dropped abruptly/regurgitated, too much stunt casting, the company was always under attack by some evil supervillain that wanted to take it over like some Saturday morning cartoon. :trash:

I know why Jussie Smollett lied.....he was trying to get off the show. :mjlol:
For Empire it seemed like that became obsessed with trying to go viral with over the top absurdity. Season 1 had it's moments but at least seemed to be telling a decent story and had much better pacing. Then they saw how many people were live tweeting so it seemed they went into the mode of trying to give content for live tweeting and just went to shyt.

Then it seemed like Power was trying to blow up more by copying the Empire formula and just speeding through plots and lost all sense of pacing as well.

My favorite show is ALIAS. Sydney Bristow was a spy, mom dead, estranged from her father, working for the CIA, then found out she was actually working for a terrorist organization posing as the CIA.

Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was even better, Season 3 was good, then they got renewed for 5 more. And then the changes. The suits felt that the show was too much, and people were too dumb to follow a serialized show week-to-week, especially one with such intricate plotlines, so they dumbed down S4, and changed it to episodic. Another problem with that season is that they completely ignored all of the detailed seeds planted before. It's an entirely different show.

I say it's mainly a victim of timing. It could've been one of the all-time greats, and now it's mostly forgotten.

The 100 after season 2

I love The 100, the entire series. I finished my rewatch of the entire thing. They pretty much stayed consistent throughout...Well, I did hate a couple of deaths, but other than that...

Season 2 was on some GOAT shyt. Season 3 they made a bunch of bad decisions with a few characters. S4 i honestly dont remember too much about. S5 was cool & I thought it shouldve ended there

The last two seasons were wack af imo

Did anyone mention Sons of Anarchy? I remember the first 3 seasons were damn good, then it went full Suttery. :snoop:

it’s a great show for fukkery purposes tho. :lolbron:

the watch thread that was on here for the final season was legendary
the Suttery made for great commentary

Homeland. First season was perfect. Second season was largely a joke but had enough cool moments to make me finish. I don't remember if I quit after the third or fourth season but regardless...despite the level of finality it gave us when a certain character died, overall it felt like such a drop down in quality. I can't even recommend the show to people because it's basically one great scene and then middling tier to trash tier.

Nah Lost is GOATed to me. People put too much stock in the ending. Plenty of great episodes late in the shows run

The final season on way good asf to me I didn't watch until then I skipped the middle seasons because it kept getting crazier nd crazier the writers should have had a general outline. When Ben killed Locke and Locke was alive on the island I was like :dahell::dwillhuh: I had to watch that shyt cause it was fukkery overload from then. :pachaha:

Lost fell when they tried to start explaining the island. Damn near every character had a compelling off-island backstory to tell, and they've should've continued that. I've rewatched the show several times, and it's clear they really had no plan on the island itself. They should've just left it ambiguous.
