Thats the same argument, people had in the 80s and 90s about homosexuals which caused them to stay in the closet. Mayb the social media isnt the perfect way to openly talk about it but its very effective. Nobody talks about STDs in America. Damn near every other month CNN have a hour long special about being black in america. They really should talk about STDs in America.

I saw a stat on WHO about herpes that said two-third of the world population under 50 has herpes. 1 in 4 persons has herpes. WTF. Thats just herpes.

:patrice:
Don't they talk about STDs in school? I know when I was in elementary you needed parental consent to place students in Sex ed. my mom allowed it. In Middle school I learned a lot about it in Biology. Then I had to take a half semester but mandatory Life Management course in HS that went hardbody on STDs and Drugs pictures and everything. :wow:

Ive known people who didnt sleep around like that and got a STD. I know slut bucket women and men that dont have shyt.

I had a STD scare in college. I smashed on a very attractive chick and I thought I had caught something. Doctors told me that it was a bacterial infection.

This chick I know got herpes from her dude. She said when she tell guys that she has the STD, some of them actually verbally disrespect her about it. Like she aint shyt but the same dudes are sleeping around the city like they cant catch something.

You gotta make this uncomfortable but serious topic okay to openly talk about or people will remain silent for the most part.

Thank you!! is pretty ignorant to shame other about STDs when you are actively having sex, if you are having sex you are at risk of having an STD(s) and I don't care how you think your partner is faithful cause most time that is bs.

In any case, STDs are as old as time, instead of shaming, you should demand the FDA to fund more and stop the blockage to cure most of these STDs however they are only interested in treating you (lifetime of revenue) than curing it.

I don't agree with these e-activists message but there must be a constant conversation about this....I mean look at the numbers.

I do think we have to look for ways to remove the stigma from having stds because clearly shaming isnt working but I dont trust white feminists leading this. They have a history of reshaping the message. Look at what they did to slut shaming. What was suppose to be a fight to stop blaming sexual assault victims for being attacked is now a bs demand to do and wear whatever you want whenever you want with no appropriate consequence.

Thats the same argument, people had in the 80s and 90s about homosexuals which caused them to stay in the closet.

To be fair - it goes back farther than that.

My pop once was tellin' me how they had homosexuals they knew about in the 40s and 50s when he
was growing up and everybody knew...but those individuals weren't going around trumpeting their business,
and people let them live because it was none of their business.

You see, there's a difference between someone saying "i'm gay"
and them saying "i'm gay, and this is the way I like to fucc in my gayness..."

Keep some of your chit a secret, B. It's the same with this chit.
Okay so you got an STD. You know who should know about that? You, and people you may
be having sex with - not everybody on your timeline. Keep your fuccin' business out the street.

I don't think you read my post. Let me go quote it
You can't catch an STD if you don't have sex. & you are much less likely to if you use condoms and don't sleep around.
People don't need to broadcast their stds. They don't need to tell anyone except for the people they are dating.

Thats the same argument, people had in the 80s and 90s about homosexuals which caused them to stay in the closet. This is not similar to homosexuals at all. Just like the homosexual fight isn't similar to the fight of AA's. Stop trying to compare things that aren't coparable.

STDs are talked about in America. We learn about them in school, the info is all over the internet. Did you skip the 80s & 90s when it was really popular in the media b/c hiv/aids was new?
The news didn't stop talking about charlie sheen and his aids/hiv or whenever a celeb comes out and says they have something. The news talks about whatever is popular. Black, feminism, and transgender is what's popular right now.

There are condom commercials on tv, buy you're saying we don't talk about stds? ok. lol

LOL They do!
I think there's something wrong with that guy. He is trying so hard to defend something for some reason. Saying a little bit of everything that's not even true or related.

Why should there be consequences for a woman wearing or doing whatever she wants?

You sound like a victim blamer.

I don't think there's anything wrong with this. HIV, for example, is perfectly treatable with modern medicine that allows all those infected to go on and lead normal healthy lives. The most harmful thing about that virus, at this point, is the stigma attached to it. So I can see how this movement could be good for a situation like that.
