Shouldn't the Cavs be kicking themselves right now?

Philly just took a leap forward with this Bynum trade and the Cavs had the chance to deal for Bynum but backed out.

Wasn't it over Tristan Thompson too? :what:

They coulda dealt Varejao, Thompson and a pick for Bynum and turned that down, I'm assuming, so LA wouldn't get Howard.

There's a bank in every city. Reports said he'd consider re-upping with the Cavs too, just like Philly.

This.

And it's very debatable whether Philly took a step forward. They balanced their team out a bit more, but their best player now is a huge risk for more reasons than one.

Bynum & J-Rich >>>>>>>>>> Iggy

That's not even a debate. Their team maxed out its potential last season and wouldn't have made it out of the first round if Rose hadn't gone down. You gotta roll the dice sometimes. Even if Bynum flames out or doesn't re-sign, they can rebuild since they'll know there's no where else to go but down.

:why: this isnt true at all

they got young players who arent even close to their primes yet

Who on that team besides Bynum is a legit All-Star? :stopitslime:

Iggy was only named an All-Star because the other SFs in the conference were garbage besides LeBron. He stole that spot from Josh Smith.

Their potential hasn't changed. It's just not tied to a sure thing anymore.

Nah, they have more potential with Bynum in the post and Turner getting the ball in his hands more than they did with Iggy. I don't know how you're trying to argue this.

Here's the thing.....the sixers managed to get rid of Elton and Iggy's contract's in the same off season....they won regardless of whether or not Bynum resigns.....They also didn't resign Lou longterm and picked up Nick Young for a 1 year deal.....They made a great gamble and if it fails then they can rebuild

Who wants to sign there?? That's the question. :ohhh: cp3? Josh smith ? Bynum ? I mean Dallas couldn't get people to go there

If you commit to Bynum and you fail, it's gonna be awfully tough to rebuild.

Bynum's already there now.

I don't see CP3 going there, but I doubt Josh Smith has his heart tied to Atlanta at the moment and they could offer him max money.

Jrue
Turner
Wright
Smith
Bynum

Not a bad starting 5 :obama:

Note: I'm sure I'm fukking up their starting 5 somehow, but the point remains, that's a pretty solid team.
