Shoulder hurts when benching the 1st set, but goes away?

What's good fitness gurus. I need your wisdom

When I bench press, I warm up with 10 reps of 135, and then I do my 5x5 shyt of 215.

The problem is during my warm up set and my 1st 5x5 set, my shoulder hurts. But after I finish those 2 sets, the rest of my sets is straight. The pain goes away and I bench like normal. It's only on my left shoulder too.

What's up with that shyt?

do more warmups. do some light rows / overheads.. bench the bar, 95lbs, 135, 165, ~190 for a single, then do your worksets.

Ayo! Thanks to everyone for contributing :salute: Daps to all

Looks like I just need to stretch / warm up more. I'll give it a shot tomorrow when I do my chest/tricep day, and I'll report back.

I'll start with 5 minutes of cardio followed up with some stretching, and then push ups and light benches.

I'll report back to see if it helped out. Thanks again pimps

Take a yoga class. I was having all kinds of pains especially my left shoulder. Since I started yoga the pains have slowly started going away.
