Should WWE have an off season?

An off season after Wrestlemania may help with the ratings. WWE being a year round thing worked in the past but this a different time and era. Would taking a break help regain interest amongst regular and casual fans?

I've been saying that for awhile now at least let them work house shows, so storylines can be fresh and wrestlers can take a break one in awhile at least for 3 months

i dont watch much anymore. but i feel if they did have an offseason it would keep some people more interested in a weird way. also off season doesn't have to be completely off. offseason can be promo season. building storylines via youtube and other social media. but i dont trust the E to execute anything well so ill continue not to watch much

Best time for an offseason would be from Survivor Series until the first Monday of the new year

I'm surprised WWE hasn't adopted a stealth rotating offseason for wrestlers. Like at least 1-2 months.

But... That seems like an independent contractor issues.

Man... When WWE made those blood money deals. I knew it would be a matter of time before some dirt start to come out about WWE.

The problem with an offseason is that WWE has it in their contracts that if you miss six straight weeks or more that they can add time to your contract like they did to Harper and Dawson. And also guys who don’t sell a lot of merch live and die off their house show bonuses.

I think the best middle ground is to either rotate the house show schedule or drop house shows from 3 times a week to 2 times.. WWE already pays for flights every week so they actually don’t lose money if they’re just flying in a guy for RAW or SD that week.
