LOL. This scene still has me rolling. he didn't whack Ralph just over the horse. Tony was still salty about that Tracy broad Ralph killed. In a later episode I think Tony sees a picture of Tracy or something. That murder never sat right with him. The horse just drove Tony over the edge.

Only problem I have with that, is it seems fraudulent as hell coming from Tony. This nikka done murdered so many people He had his Jackie's son murdered when he really didn't have to do it. Two of Jackie's friends got killed robbing that joint & he was pissing himself scared about dying. I think the point was made VERY clear to Jackie Jr he wasn't cut out for that life Tony could've did him a solid & gave him a plane ticket out of town just out of respect that his dad was the don once.

Ralph was gonna get killed regardless by someone just Tony beat everyone to the punch. Johnny Sack damn near had Ralph killed so I'm pretty sure Ralph was gonna piss someone of to finish him off eventually.

Tony had a deep seated connection with animals. Remember he got depressed, had an anxiety attack and fainted over the ducks from season 1? He yelled that Pie O My was "an innocent creature" just like he did when Ralph killed the stripper.

But, yeah he shouldn't have killed Ralph. The mafia is a business and Ralph was an earner(remember the NY boss wouldn't let the capo kill him even after he made fun of how fat his wife was because he brought in so much money) so Tony made a mistake. Then again, like it's already been pointed out, Tony was a hypocritical sociopath.
