I would love to see a remake or a sequel but done the way the first was which was gritty. I would hope we'd get authentic NY'ers in this movie instead of outsiders. It can be done but with the right director
Probably one of my top 10-15 favorite movies of all time 
and the PS2 game was 
NYC doesnt look like that anymore. Thats not a movie you want done on sets or green screen. An LA style remake would be more interesting but I dont think you can ever recapture that 70s NYC look and feel. The story is pretty thin. It was the characters, setting, music, and variety of gangs that made it a classic. Not saying a remake couldnt be good, but it would be a tall order and have to be really well crafted.

Have you seen modern day gangs breh? It would lose it's charm and you might as well make it an action movie cause Gangs these days ain't rockin facepaint, and using baseball bats.

That's the thing though. These things are rarely put in the right hands. I couldn't see it having the same feel but I would love to see someone try.
