Yes and that should be mandatory across the board

High school is supposed to prepare for college and beyond where most people will inevitably encounter more people from different cultures than their immediate locality. It's important to have some sort of base knowledge of those cultures and belief systems so the kids can avoid conflicts, maximize their ability to communicate effectively and ideally understand why the world is the way it is.

Not giving some exposure to these philosophies and religions is simply malpractice

That's the problem, only the truth will set people free. It's ok to teach every other world view but the Bible huh? Evolutionism is a religion believe it or not. There's no solid proof of evolution, because the variables change every time they discover something new. The animal they said man evolved from changed from 30 years ago. Evolutionism teaches there was a starting point to the Universe..... Well the Bible does as well. The Bible teaches beyond that point though. Evolutionism doesn't tell you what was going on before the "Big Bang" . The Bible does. And the Bible has been around a lot longer than evolutionary theory.
