0 reason to make one. just like all these other remakes. no player now is big enough so why do it?
leave well enough alone
Lebron and Curry are both big enough to play the lead, it doesn't matter if they're as big as Jordan was just if they're big enough to draw a large market and they are. Space Jam was a fun little movie it's not like it's a true classic that's at any risk of being ruined by making a sequel, they only stand to make hundreds of millions if not more in ticket sales and merchandising.
Get a bunch of players involved again and a sequel could actually be bigger. Imagine limited release Mitchell and Ness or Nike Tune Squad and Monstars jerseys/apparel released in unison with some Space Jam Lebrons and KDs, not to mention the toys for little kids. Could even get Jordan back involved to make a little cameo have Lebron go to him for advice or some shyt, the possibilities are endless. Could make it like an NBA player is actually an alien and playing for the Monstars, use that as part of the marketing with the Tune Squad and Monstars jerseys/apparel/sneakers, it would be huge. Space Jam Lebrons and Monstar KDs, they'd be re-selling for $1000s.
We're not talking about a Godfather remake or Goodfellas 2 here, it's Space Jam.
