Big Update on Ethan Carter III Possibly Returning to WWE, Bobby Lashley Speculation
By Marc Middleton

It's now confirmed that Ethan Carter III (Michael Hutter) will be returning to WWE soon, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It's possible that EC3 will use the same name in WWE as he does own the rights to it. He previously used the Derrick Bateman name in WWE.

Regarding a possible WWE return for Bobby Lashley, it's still believed that he will be returning to the company as some have expected it to happen for months but there's been no confirmation like there has with EC3.

A Royal Rumble appearance for EC3 is possible as he's now able to sign with any promotion he wants following the Impact Wrestling departure. EC3 was recently pulled from a Renegade Wrestling Revolution indie event in Houston, TX on the day of the Rumble. The promotion noted on Facebook that EC3 pulled out of the show due to a private family matter. They wrote, "Unfortunately it is a private family matter. He is ok just has to be with family. But don't be discouraged there isn't shortage of talent on this card"

Lashley could appear at the Rumble as well but it would take Impact officials giving approval to WWE.

:ohhh:

Former World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley finished up with Impact Wrestling at Sunday's TV tapings in Orlando, according to F4Wonline.com.

Lashley exited the company with a feud against former Lucha Underground star Brian Cage, who also sent Ethan Carter III packing in the storylines.

No word yet on if Lashley may return to WWE but F4Wonline.com notes that the door is open.

Top talents that finished up at these tapings include Lashley, EC3, Chris Adonis and Laurel Van Ness. Impact will wrap this set of tapings tonight in Orlando.

Depends on how much they need the money. they should bet on themselves and try the indies (maybe Japan) for a year just built more clout. But if they wanna get the dough they can got to WWE, its just that I can actually see a situation where they wouldnt be treated as top guys or have questionable top guy booking and being placed in a holding pattern (think Roode, Nakamura, Balor)
I get they have the look and even the presence for Vince guys but I dont know how much focus Vince has on them beyond what he already has for a hand full of guys

Lashley would be interesting. He seemed poised for bigger things before he left, but then the company is very :mjpls: and that’s part of why he left to begin with so who knows what would happen.

EC3 is midcard status, probably get an NXT title run and a call up feud with Ziggler like everyone else

I thought Lashley left because he got injured and he company wanted his wife to go into a storyline with someone else and he said nah :hamster:

That was what I had heard too, but then I had also heard this as well:

Bobby Lashley & Michael Hayes Past Heat Over Racial Issues?

One of the reasons Bobby Lashley got a release from WWE on his terms, which lets him go to TNA if he chooses to, is because the feeling is that if went public on his complaints on Michael Hayes, and there was some corroboration, it would make the company look bad. So WWE agreed to release Lashley on his terms on the condition that he does not say anything negative about the company.

Back in January, Lashley talked about “evil prevailing” in WWE in his statement on his official website regarding his departure from the company. “I can’t go into details of this now but like I said before sometimes people will hate you personally and try to destroy you, which has happened here. Evil has prevailed however like I said before if you continue your struggle doors will open around these people.”

Additionally, one of the reasons Lashley moved from SmackDown to ECW in late 2006 was because Michael Hayes — who was the head writer of the blue brand at the time — wanted nothing to do with him. At the time, Lashley was saddled in a lame duck feud with Tatanka, who had just turned heel (and was fired three months later).

Don't know if Lashley would realistically return to WWE, especially if they try and tag a full-time schedule on him. A big money deal, and promise of a big push, might change his mind.

I can see EC3 returning if he gets a decent enough deal. You know they're sending his ass to NXT first and foremost, though. Unless they want Lashley to basically get The NXT title and monster his way through that roster before building up a credible face to dethrone him before calling up...more than likely they're sending dude straight to the main roster.

I havent seen much of his work in TNA, but he said in an interview that he's learned a lot since he was in WWE and he's 1000% a better rassler now in all facets

And I believe him :ehh:

Yes, both should sign again and would be great additions, but who knows if they would even want EC3 or if Lashley would want WWE.

EC3 probably gets put back into NXT and Lashley would probably go straight to Raw. Lesnar/Lashley is somewhat a dream match-- mainstream fans have probably forgotten all about him since it's been 10 years, but put him out there face to face and let fans see the visual of that and I think they'd get behind that match/feud real quick. Seeing those two working TOGETHER and destroying everybody would be great, too.

And if Lesnar is known to be leaving after WM, let Heyman turn and join up with Lashley (who would definitely need someone to do the speaking for him).
