If you think yes, why?

If you think no, do you prohibit your child from pledging allegiance?

Forced? No.

Highly encouraged? Yes.

Spin off: This country has an awesome pledge if you think about it.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands. One nation, under God, indivisible. With liberty and justice for all."

Sh!t is beautiful, brehs.:to:

You started the thread. Do you have a reason they shouldn't be forced to do it?

yes, because they are children. They do not have the knowledge or understanding to fully grasp what it is they are pledging allegiance too and having them do so is nothing more then a abuse of power.

They don't have the knowledge or understanding to fully grasp damn there anything we are teaching them in school. That's why we send them so hopefully they learn.

In my opinion forcing them to stand up and say the pledge of allegiance isn't forcing them to believe in the words. But it's teaching them the concepts of patriotism and what will be expected of them in the real world. Just like any thing else in school they can then draw their own conclusions on the subject.

No. That shyt is creepy as fukk.

They should make the kids recite their Bill of Rights and subsequent protection amendments. The social contract is what makes you American, not a symbol or flag.
