Loved the movie as a kid but now that I'm older I can see the flaws in it. And there are plenty. It's still an interesting and beautiful flick tho

I think DMX was in jail at that time when one of his friend shot his friend in front of DMX at the restaurant for talking mad shyt on him that's when cop took him so I guess he couldn't do anything about DMX so Nas was the best chance he got and Nas was DMX's homie just to send the message to DMX and he knows DMX gonna be when he heard Nas died if he got him. Plus, Nas was laughing at him through when he get naked.

When Nas and AZ with his baby/shooting scene reminds me of 2Pac and Biggie Small situation when Pac got shot in New York at Times Square's Quad Recording Stuido.

The street dudes probably told Bad Boys artists/staff not to told Pac that they about to robbed/schooled Pac to teach him lesson or else the Bad Boys/Puff/Biggie proabalay gonna get clipped too if they told Pac already.

In that scene I can see Nas would've AZ for not telling him about the shooters tried to murder but I'm sure AZ would've told him like "Yo yo yo chill.....I have my son with me at that time and I know better not to piss the shooters off and my baby mama off also.....It's not my problem and I don't know what y'all beef was so I don't know shyt so it's noy my problem but If I didn't have my son with me and I'm sure I would have told you".
