There has reportedly been a shooting at Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach Home.
Miami’s WSVN-TV is reporting live that police received a phone call from someone through their non-emergency line that he or she shot possibly four people. Police confirms the incident is a hoax and that they could not find anything that showed a shooting occurred on the property. Miami police spokesperson said that Lil Wayne and his camp have cooperated completely with the investigation and the focus now is finding the person who called in the shooting to law officers. This is officially a swatting incident.
Swatting is prank calling emergency services into dispatching an emergency response based on the false reports.
TMZreported that Lil Wayne was not home but is in Miami. Young Money confirmed with
WSVN-TV that Wayne is ok but not home. It was also reported that a similar phone call was made several weeks ago and it was a hoax. XXL was also able to independently confirm that Wayne is fine with his reps.
This comes after 11 days after police were called to the home after a report of
a suspicious person was lurking outsidethe home. Cops let the guy go because when they arrived he was on public property. Local police have not been able to make contact with anyone inside the house.
