Yeah its supposed to be an appreciation thread of sorts (also to let people know its availabe on Amazon Prime).

I was suprised no one on the coli has made a thread about it yet but then again I know a lot of you are too preoccupied by any lame super hero movie/ show hollywood churns out.

I loved the "western" vibe it gave off.

I love Firefly (and Serenity too) and still am pissed at Fox for fukking it up.
To me it is the best thing Joss Whedon has ever done and I put above Buffy and Angel because it was so brief that it never had the chance to fall off like those shows did.
Plus it introduced one of the best black sci-fi/fantasy villains ever in Jubal Early.

It rebounded in the final season but the quality dipped that season with pregnant demon Cordelia.

I thought the season started off well but it lost its way by the time it revealed Cordy was evil and she started boning Connor. And by the time Jasmine showed up it was just not that good.
The show got better again when the crew took over Wolfram & Hart but that prior season was mediocre.
