I've always had a little dandruff until a few months ago I woke up and was like :gucci: "why the fukk am I not treating my hair/scalp better?"

Looked up shyt. Took away tips:

- Don't wash hair often
- Shampoo like once a week
- Use conditioner and moisturizer.

So I bought all natural products made for black people like

(Shea Moisture Curly Hair Product Bundle Shampoo 16 Fl Oz, Conditioner 13 Fl Oz, Leave in Conditioner 15 Oz, Jamaican Black Castor Oil for Healthy Hair Growth, Strengthen & Restore, Sulfate Free)

But I still have mad dandruff weeks later. In fact, I think it's even worse :francis:

What I do:

- Use 1x leave-in conditioner every day either in the morning or at night (Used it less before but started to use it more when I saw dandruff wasn't going away, doesn't seem to have helped)
- Use coconut oil as a moisturizer in hair every morning or at night
- Wash with conditioner every 2-3 days
- Wash with shampoo once a week

Other than that I don't touch/brush/rinse my hair at all. Not sure what i'm doing wrong exactly.

When I had hair that’s how I took care of my shyt. It honestly could be medical you might have to book a dermatologist.

You already covered some of the stuff I was going suggest like washing less often

You said you used oil already, that was going be my next suggestion. Back in the day my dad was co-owner of a company that made the best moisturizing oil I ever used. It's not around anymore but keep trying with different oils that will saturate your scalp. if that shyt don't work holla at a dermatologist

all the people in here telling you to use oil and moisturizer you should really ignore. Dandruff is literally the opposite of dry scalp.

I use selsum blue medicated strength, about once a week, and it gets rid of dandruff entirely for me. Conditioner and other shampoo's never worked for me.

I'd start with this or really any anti dandruff shampoo. Use it multiple times throughout the week until you see little to no dandruff, then reduce to once a week use. You can still do everything you outlined in the OP too, but you need a strong anti dandruff shampoo to start off

I actually used this before swapping to the whole routine all at once. I should all of them at once?

:lupe:
Your scalp is producing too much oil causing buildup which in turn causes dandruff. And they are telling you to make it more oily. think about it.
Would literally make the problem worse. trust me i know. The goal is the get your scalp as dry as possible. once you you get rid of dandruff you can start moisturizing again. between weekly shampoo's

Hear me out.......

Youre gonna need the sock of a homeless vet
that served in (Nam).......Has to be (Nam) for it to work.
Take the sock and have a stray cat piss on it
during a full moon,
take the sock and place in a jar with 2 teaspoons
of ammonia and a dead gold fish for a few weeks.
after that take the mixture and apply to scalp
until gone and cover head in durag for 8-10 hours.
Dandruff will never return and your
hair is gonna be as pretty as johnny mathis shyt.
