the interpreter completely switching his story up reeks of shohei's guilt to some degree

Baseball had years to make it right with Pete Rose. To drop the schtick and morality tied to their game.

They didn’t and now you got the online gaming era and it’s a clusterfukk. There’s pro-Pete rose folk who will NEVER let this go way until he’s implicated. Permanent stain. Hilarious

:yeshrug:

Didn’t AI’s people get a bunch of Reebok money deferred to protect him from using it all?
Yeah that’s true but not from gambling. Ohtani also brings in 50-60 mil a year in endorsements. Honestly if he’s the one gambling 4.5 million is like 10000 for normal people.

Why did they even send the interpreter to ESPN? They’re not FBI. :what:

If these idiots kept everything on the low for another day or two they coulda had shyt in order. :dwillhuh:

Well the story broke Wednesday afternoon, and he spoke to ESPN tuesday night. So seems like they were trying to get ahead of the story. Im guessing Wednesday morning the lawyers were like :why: and changed the story. From how it went down it doesn't seem like they consulted the lawyers before going to ESPN.

They're calling Ippei is straight up thief though, "massive theft" there's a lot of unpack with this one.

Imagine if Shohei was really out here gambling though, it's about to get spoooooooooookkyyyyyy
